Royal Troon, the AIG Women

Royal Troon

August 17-23

The AIG Women's Open made history in 2020 as the event was played at Royal Troon for the first time in 44 stagings of the championship.

The famed venue on the west coast of Scotland welcomed the best women golfers in the world from August 20-23, with Sophia Popov springing a surprise to become the AIG Women's Open champion courtesy of a magnificent performance across the four days.

The South Ayrshire course, which has hosted The Open Championship nine times, proved a superb venue, offering a challenging but fair test amid difficult weather conditions for most of the week. You can read more about Royal Troon here.
