Lilia Vu produced a phenomenal performance to win the AIG Women's Open at Walton Heath.

Vu ultimately dominated a field containing the world's best players, winning by six shots courtesy of a brilliant final-round 67.

Home favourite Charley Hull thrilled the crowds on her way to a runner-up finish, while a host of other players impressed during a fascinating week.

Live Entertainment

Global superstar Ellie Goulding performed a full headline set on Saturday 12 August following the end of play, supported by Pixey, an emerging performer and multi-instrumentalist.

In addition to the headline music act, the new festival fan village delivered an engaging live programming schedule throughout Championship week that included player appearances and interviews, live Q&As with inspiring women, documentary screenings, live podcast recordings and much more.

The Sessions Stage

AIG Women’s Open is proud to introduce the Sessions Stage.

A celebration of women in sport, business and lifestyle, the Sessions Stage brought together leading athletes, opinion leaders and influencers to discuss all the hottest topics in women’s sport.

Festival Fan Village

From diverse street food to shops and bars, there was something for everyone in our new festival fan village, designed to generate a fun, vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.

In addition to Ellie Goulding's headline set, fans were able to enjoy:

  • A festival village stage featuring panel discussions with leading names from sport, business and entertainment.
  • A Golf It! Zone that featured fun golf activities to introduce fans to the sport
  • Interactive golf experiences including VR and e-sports
  • Big screens to watch golf and other leading women’s sport including the FIFA Women’s World Cup
  • A new food and beverage offering that featured a collective of exciting, passionate and diverse street food traders.

Nature Walks with the RSPB

Fans were able to discover the incredible wildlife that lives in and around the course, and learn how golf and nature are working together. 

Guided Nature Walks left from from the covered seating area in the On Course Spectator Village between holes 10 and 11 daily. 

All walks lasted approx. 30 minutes, while children's nature discovery kits were provided.
