Panmure, which neighbours the famed Carnoustie Golf Links, has a rich history, and just recently hosted The Girls Amateur Championship in 2019, won by Slovenia's Pia Babnik.

The club is also well known for hosting Ben Hogan for two weeks prior to The 82nd Open Championship in 1953 at Carnoustie, where he would play, and win, his only Open.

Sandy Lodge, meanwhile, has a great history of its own. The Hertfordshire course was opened in 1910 with an exhibition match between its designer and six-time Open Champion Harry Vardon, and his great compatriot and three-time Champion Golfer James Braid.
