Breaking barriers and records for half a century, the AIG Women’s Open will celebrate its 50th staging at Royal Lytham & St Annes in 2026.
It will be the sixth time the Championship will have been hosted on the luscious Lancashire links – and the first time since home favourite Georgia Hall tasted victory there in 2018.
Tickets are already on sale for next year – priced from £17.50 for adults and £8.75 for youths, while U16s go free.
A number of ticket bundles – including family and weekend tickets – are also available.
Fifty years of the AIG Women's Open
The great and good of golf have won the AIG Women’s Open at this world-famous venue.
No player has won the Championship more times than Sherri Steinhauer, with the American great collecting a hat-trick of victories. Two of those arrived at Lytham – in 1998 and 2006.
Hall of Famer Annika Sörenstam [above] – a 10-time major winner – was runner-up in 1994, 1995 and 1999 before finally breaking her duck by edging out Se Ri Pak to claim victory in 2003.
Catriona Matthew is the only golfer to hit three Championship holes-in-one and the Scot got her hands on the trophy in 2009.
Meanwhile, Hall is the last English player to win the prize and she did so in heartwarming fashion, with her dad Wayne caddying for her during her day in the sun.
