Celine Boutier

Celine Boutier picked up her first major title after cruising to victory in the Amundi Evian Championship in her native France in July 2023.

The 29-year-old finished on 14-under-par, six shots clear of 2022 winner Brooke Henderson.

It was the highlight of an incredibly impressive year in which Boutier won four times on the LPGA Tour, adding the Drive On Championship, the Scottish Open and the inaugural Maybank Championship to her maiden major crown.

Boutier won the European amateur title aged 19 in 2012 and three years later added the Women's Amateur Championship at Portstewart. She had taken up a golf scholarship at Duke University in the United States by then, helping them to become NCAA champions in 2014 and having a 15-week spell as the number one-ranked player on the amateur world rankings.

She turned professional in 2016 and has won six times on the LPGA Tour and four on the European circuit.

Boutier finished sixth in the AIG Women’s Open at Woburn in 2019 and tied-seventh in 2022.
