AIG Women's Open

The R&A underlined its commitment to enhancing the AIG Women’s Open’s status as a leading major sporting event by announcing world-class venues for the Championships being played in 2027 and 2028.

Over the next two years, the Championship will be played at Royal St George's [2027] and Sunningdale [2028].

In 2027 the Championship will visit the renowned Kent links for the first time. Royal St George’s has a long history of hosting R&A championships and has staged The Open on 15 occasions, most recently in 2021.

In 2028 Sunningdale's renowned Old Course will host the AIG Women's Open for the first time in two decades. The venue has a long and storied history of hosting the Championship with champions at the venue being some of the greatest names in women’s golf including Karrie Webb (1997), Se Ri Pak (2001), Karen Stupples (2004) and Jiyai Shin (2008). They have secured 15 major titles between them.
