Ticketing and General Information FAQs

Digital Tickets

Can I send a ticket to a friend?

Yes, you can securely send your AIG Women’s Open tickets to a guest, friend or family member by using the transfer functionality in the app and entering their email address.

Please make sure that you send any tickets in advance of arriving at the Championship.

To transfer a ticket, click on the three dots in the bottom right corner of the ticket, select ‘Transfer’, and entering the email address of the person you wish to transfer the ticket to. More detailed instructions can be found in the Digital Tickets page.

When can I transfer tickets?
Once digital tickets have been issued by The R&A, you can transfer your tickets at any time until you have entered the venue. Tickets can be transferred at the venue, so long as the ticket has not been scanned/used. View how to transfer tickets on our Digital Tickets page.
How will my recipient know I sent a ticket?
If you transfer a ticket to a guest, friend or family member that has never created an account on the app before, they will receive an email to invite them to download the AIGWO Tickets app and create an account.

If you transfer a ticket to a friend or family member that already has the app, they will receive a notification once the ticket is available on their app.
Where can I find the list of tickets sent / received?
Under the ‘Ticket Transfer’ and ‘Transfer History’ tab on the app menu, you will find a list of all tickets sent and received, including the name of the sender or recipient.
I have purchased several tickets to the AIG Women’s Open. Should I transfer the additional tickets to my friends or should I keep them on my phone?

We strongly encourage all attendees to hold their own ticket on their own smartphone for security purposes and to speed up entry on arrival.

This can be done using the in-app transfer functionality to send any additional tickets to the other members of your party. We recommend transferring any tickets in advance of your arrival to avoid delays. See our Digital Tickets page for more instructions.

Can I keep any additional junior tickets on my smartphone?
Yes, there is no requirement to transfer any junior tickets you have on your smartphone.
What if my friend doesn’t have a smartphone?

If you are attending the AIG Women’s Open with a guest, friend or family member who does not have access to a smartphone, tickets can be retained on a single attendee’s app.

If no one in your party has access to a smartphone, please come to the on-site Ticket Office with the lead purchaser and proof of purchase so that our team may assist you with entry.

I did not receive the ‘Ticket sent’ email. What should I do?

If you are expecting to receive a transferred ticket but have not yet been notified by email, please check your email spam folder and contact the sender.

If you are still experiencing any issues, the sender can cancel the current ticket transfer, and then transfer the ticket to you again, being careful to send to the correct email address.

Can I transfer my 5-Day ticket to different people on different days?
Yes, 5-Day tickets are transferrable in a similar way to traditional physical tickets. Once a spectator is finished with the 5-Day ticket on any given day of the Championship, they can transfer the ticket onto another individual to use on subsequent days.
I have purchased tickets, when will they arrive?

Instructions about how, when and where to download the AIGWO Tickets app and how to access your tickets will be included in the email notifying you that your tickets are available at that time. Head to our Digital Tickets page for more information.
