Are tickets on sale for the AIG Women’s Open?
Tickets for the AIG Women's Open at Royal Porthcawl in 2025 are on sale now and can be purchased online at www.AIGWomensOpen.com/Tickets-and-Hospitality. If you experience any issues in the purchase journey, please contact Tickets@AIGWomensOpen.com.
Can I purchase tickets at the gate?

Tickets will be available to purchase at the gates for the AIG Women’s Open, subject to availability. To secure your place at the event, we recommend purchasing tickets in advance online at www.AIGWomensOpen.com/Tickets-and-Hospitality.

Can I purchase tickets to attend the practice days of the AIG Women’s Open?

Tickets are only available for the Wednesday practice day – this is your chance to get close to the world’s best golfers as they make their final preparations for the Championship.

Can I purchase hospitality for the AIG Women’s Open?

For any customers interested in hospitality products at the AIG Women’s Open, please contact our Hospitality team at Experiences@AIGWomensOpen.com or visit Hospitality for further information.

I have purchased tickets, when will they arrive?

Tickets will be available for download approximately 4-6 weeks prior to the event. All ticket holders will be notified by email, when tickets are available, along with further information on how to access the tickets.  

Who should I contact if I have a problem with my tickets or the app?
If you are experiencing problems with your digital tickets or the app, please e-mail Tickets@AIGWomensOpen.com and a member of our team will be delighted to assist you.
I do not have a smartphone, how can I access my tickets?
If you are attending the AIG Women’s Open and do not have a smartphone, you will need to go to the onsite Ticket Office to gain entry to the event. Please bring a proof of purchase (such as the PDF File Recap you received when you purchased the tickets) and a form of ID (such as a driving licence or bank card).
My tickets were gifted to me and I do not have a smartphone, how do I access my tickets?

If you are not the original purchaser of the ticket and you do not have a smartphone, please e-mail the Customer Service team at Tickets@AIGWomensOpen.com for further information.


We are a charity, can we apply for tickets to use in an auction or raffle to raise money?

The R&A welcomes requests from individuals and charities who wish to raise funds for good causes, and as such donates a set number of tickets to AIG Women’s Open each year which can be used as auction or raffle items for this purpose.

How does the 'Kids Go Free' policy work?

All tickets for Juniors (under 16 as of 20 August 2024) are free of charge. All Juniors must hold a valid ticket in order to attend any day of the AIG Women’s Open and be accompanied by a responsible adult who also holds a ticket.

 

Junior tickets can be acquired as part of the online ticket purchase journey.

Do you have a concession rate for persons over 65 years of age?

We do not offer any concessions for persons over 65 years of age. We offer Adult, Youth (16-25) and Junior (under 16) rates only, in addition to 5-Day Passes and Weekend Tickets.

If I want to leave the Championship and return later in the day, is this possible?

For the AIG Women’s Open, all ticketholders will be able to leave the Championship and return later in the day, as long as it is the same person returning and they can present a valid ticket and untampered wristband upon re-entry. 

I can no longer attend. Can tickets be returned?

If you wish to cancel your order you may do so by informing us within 48 hours of purchase. If you would like to be considered as an exception to the above policy, please contact us at Tickets@AIGWomensOpen.com, explaining your circumstances.

Can I purchase tickets to the AIG Women's Open from another website?

The only official sources of tickets for the AIG Women’s Open are via AIGWomensOpen.com. Any tickets made available on websites such as Viagogo, Safetickets.net, Stubhub, eBay or Gumtree are not done so with the permission of The R&A and are subject to unregulated pricing. We have also encountered issues in the past in which photoshopped tickets or cancelled tickets were sold via these platforms. We strongly recommend that customers do not purchase tickets from third party re-sellers as tickets sold on these sites are likely to be refused entry to the Championship.  

Where can I find information about the accessibility provisions at the AIG Women’s Open?

ACCESSIBILITY GUIDE 

Is there a Left Luggage facility?
There is no Left Luggage facility within the venue or associated to the AIG Women’s Open. However, an external Left Luggage facility is located at the Premier Inn, St Andrews. Bookings for this facility must be made in advance and can be done through the independent third party operator, Stasher.
I have lost property at the AIG Women’s Open, how can I get it back?
If you have lost an item, it may be able to collect it from the Spectator Service Hub if it’s been handed in.

If you have left St Andrews and cannot return on the same day, please be aware that any valuables will be given to local Police at the end of each day and enquiries can be made online here: www.scotland.police.uk/contact-us/report-lost-property.
I have found lost or abandoned property at the AIG Women’s Open, what should I do?
Any unattended packages should be reported to the police or the nearest Security Scotland guard. Please do not attempt to move, open or interact with any unattended packages. Any found property should be handed in to Lost Property at the Spectator Services Hub located in the Festival Village. If you need to report a crime, please call 101/999 as appropriate and/or contact the nearest police officer.
Can I bring a rucksack/bag to the AIG Women’s Open?
Spectators are permitted to bring a small bag or rucksack. Please note that all bags will be subject to security searches. Oversized bags deemed inappropriate by The R&A (and/or authorised person) may be restricted entry. Oversized bags are considered to be larger than a standard carry-on case. Please note there is no Left Luggage facility within the venue.
Can I bring my own food and drink to the AIG Women's Open?
Spectators can bring their own food and drink into the venue, but alcoholic beverages and glass bottles are not allowed. Alcohol and other food and drink options can be purchased at various catering outlets within the venue.
Can I bring a folding chair to the AIG Women's Open?

Spectators are not permitted to bring folding chairs of any description into the venue due to safety concerns. This includes but is not limited to camping chairs, folding chairs, deck chairs, collapsible stools and inflatable chairs. However, spectators are permitted to bring single-stem shooting sticks also known as seating sticks. Free grandstand seating is available for spectators around the course on a first-come first-serve basis.

Will there be parking available for attendees?
All public parking will be located on-site, free of charge and no pre-booking is required. The public car park is located next to the main entrance and Festival Village. Please follow the black and yellow event signs provided by the AA.

How to receive my tickets for the AIG Women's Open

What is the AIGWO Tickets App?
The AIGWO Tickets app is a mobile ticketing application available to download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The app will be required for spectators attending the AIG Women’s Open to view their tickets, including all ticket holders and hospitality guests.
How do I access my tickets to the AIG Women’s Open?

All ticket holders and hospitality guests will receive an email containing instructions on how to access their tickets to the AIG Women’s Open. Please check your junk folder and contact Tickets@AIGWomensOpen.com if you have not received this instructional email by 10 July 2024.

As per the instructions, you will be required to download The AIGWO Tickets App from the Apple Store if you have an iPhone, or from the Google Play Store if you have an Android based smartphone.
You will need to create a new account on the app, ensuring that you use the same email address as you used to purchase your tickets.

If you are not the purchaser, your host will transfer tickets to you. You will need to create a new app account, ensuring that you input the same email address that your host has transferred your tickets to.

Can I use a Windows smartphone to access my tickets to the AIG Women’s Open?
The AIGWO Tickets App is only available for iOS and Android. It is not compatible with Windows smartphones. If no one in your party has access to an iOS or Android smartphone to display your tickets on, please come to the on-site ticket office with the lead purchaser and proof of purchase, so that our team may assist you with entry to the event.
Can I print my tickets to the AIG Women’s Open?

No, your digital tickets to the AIG Women’s Open are only accessible on the AIGWO Tickets App and cannot be transferred to computers for printing. Please note that you will not be allowed entry to the event if you display a printed screenshot.

I’m having trouble registering on the app. What can I do?

Please make sure you entered the below required fields correctly:

1. The email that you used to purchase the tickets with. If tickets have been transferred to you, please create an account with the email address that your tickets were transferred to.

2. The 6-digit activation code received by email

3. Password: it needs to contain at least 8 characters including at least one uppercase letter (e.g. A), one lowercase letter (e.g. b) and one numerical character (e.g. 1).

Please also make sure to accept the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

If needed, use the functionality ‘Resend an activation code’ to receive a new activation code – if you have received multiple activation codes, please note that only the last activation code received is valid.

I no longer have access to the email address that I made my purchase with.
If you are no longer able to access the email address with which you purchased your tickets or hospitality, please contact us at Tickets@AIGWomensOpen.com for assistance.
I have recently changed my smartphone. How do I access my tickets for the AIG Women’s Open on my new smartphone?
Simply download the AIGWO Tickets app on your new smartphone and log in with the account details created on your old smartphone (email address and password). If you are able to, please log out of your account prior to logging into the app on your new device. If you do not have access to your old smartphone, please contact us for assistance at Tickets@AIGWomensOpen.com.
Why are my tickets not showing in the AIGWO Tickets app?

Please ensure that you have created an account with the correct email address. To receive your tickets, you must use the same email address that you purchased the tickets with, or the email address that your tickets were transferred to from the ticket purchaser. If you have created an account with the incorrect email address, you can logout of the app and sign in, or create a new account, with the correct email address.

If your tickets were originally transferred to you by another user of the AIGWO Tickets app, the original sender may have cancelled the ticket transfer and you should check with the person who sent you the tickets.

If your phone is not set to the correct date and time, you may not see your tickets or receive unexpected errors.

The barcode is not showing on my ticket. Is my ticket valid?
Yes, your ticket will activate within 24 hours of the gates opening on the day of your attendance. If you have any issues with ticket activation on the day you are attending, please visit the on-site ticket office for assistance.
I have received some of my tickets, but not others?
Digital tickets will become available across late June and early July 2024. All ticket purchasers should have received an e-mail with instructions on how to download their tickets by 10 July 2024. Please e-mail Tickets@AIGWomensOpen.com if you still cannot see all your tickets in the AIGWO Tickets App by 10 July.

How can I send tickets to friends?

Can I send a ticket to a friend?

Yes, you can securely send your AIG Women’s Open tickets to a guest, friend or family member by using the transfer functionality in the app and entering their email address. Please make sure that you send any tickets in advance of arriving at the Championship.

To transfer a ticket, click on the three dots in the bottom right corner of the ticket, select ‘Transfer’, and entering the email address of the person you wish to transfer the ticket to.

How will my recipient know I sent a ticket?

If you transfer a ticket to a guest, friend or family member that has never created an account on the app before, they will receive an email to invite them to download the AIGWO Tickets app and create an account.

If you transfer a ticket to a friend or family member that already has the app, they will receive a notification once the ticket is available on their app.

Where can I find the list of tickets sent / received?
Under the ‘Ticket Transfer’ and ‘Transfer History’ tab on the app menu, you will find a list of all tickets sent and received, including the name of the sender or recipient.
I have purchased several tickets to the AIG Women’s Open. Should I transfer the additional tickets to my friends or should I keep them on my phone?
We strongly encourage all attendees to hold their own ticket on their own smartphone for security purposes and to speed up entry on arrival. This can be done using the in-app transfer functionality to send any additional tickets to the other members of your party. We recommend transferring any tickets in advance of your arrival to avoid delays.
What if my friend doesn’t have a smartphone?
If you are attending the AIG Women’s Open with a guest, friend or family member who does not have access to a smartphone, tickets can be retained on a single attendee’s app. If no one in your party has access to a smartphone, please come to the on-site ticket office with the lead purchaser and proof of purchase so that our team may assist you with entry.
Can I keep any additional junior tickets on my smartphone?
Yes, there is no requirement to transfer any junior tickets you have on your smartphone.
When can I transfer tickets?
You can transfer your tickets any time until you have entered the venue.
I did not receive the ‘Ticket sent’ email. What should I do?
If you are expecting to receive a transferred ticket but have not yet been notified by email, please check your email spam folder and contact the sender. If you are still experiencing any issues, the sender can cancel the current ticket transfer, and then transfer the ticket to you again, being careful to send to the correct email address.
Can I cancel the transfer of a ticket?
Yes, you can cancel the transfer of a ticket until it is successfully received by the recipient. The recipient will receive the ticket when they log in and open the AIGWO Tickets app. After the transfer is successful, it is not possible to cancel it.

If the ticket has not been successfully received by the recipient of the ticket transfer, the sender can cancel the transfer by going to the in-app menu and accessing the ‘Ticket Transfer’ section. The ticket transfer can be cancelled under ‘Pending Transfers’.

If you accidentally send the ticket to the wrong email address, after cancellation of the ticket transfer, you can resend the ticket to the correct email address.
What happens to my ticket after I transfer it?
After transferring a ticket, your ticket will remain in the ‘My Tickets’ tab under ‘Ticket Transfer’ and marked as ‘Pending Transfer’ until the ticket is received by the recipient. Once the ticket has been received by the recipient, the ticket will move from ‘Pending Transfer’ to the ‘Transfer History’ tab.
Can I transfer my 5-Day ticket to different people on different days?
Yes, 5-Day tickets are transferrable in a similar way to traditional physical tickets. Once a spectator is finished with the 5-Day ticket on any given day of the Championship, they can transfer the ticket onto another individual to use on subsequent days.

How to enter the venue

How should I prepare my smartphone to enter the venue?
The battery of your phone should be fully charged, screen brightness turned to full, and you should enable your internet connection.
Do I need an internet connection to enter the venue?
Yes, you need an internet connection to receive your tickets to the AIG Women’s Open and activate your tickets to enter the venue. Please note that complimentary Wi-Fi will be available at the venue if required.
How to enter the venue with digital tickets?
At the entrance, simply present your smartphone with your ticket displaying the QR code. Please note, you will not see the QR code until the ticket has activated, usually 24 hours before gates open.
Can I use a screenshot of my ticket?
No, screenshots of tickets will not be accepted. Tickets must be presented within the AIGWO Tickets app. Copies of barcodes presented through third-party applications, screenshots or print outs will not be accepted at the venue. Please note that taking a screenshot of your digital ticket may cause it to become invalidated.
Can I transfer AIG Women’s Open tickets whilst at the venue?
You can send tickets at any time until you have entered the venue. It is not possible to transfer tickets once they have been scanned through the gates.
What if I lose internet connection after I have downloaded my tickets?

If you have previously downloaded your tickets in the AIGWO Tickets App, then your tickets can be displayed without any internet connection.

You will need an internet connection to activate the ticket in the app within 24 hours of your attendance.

Since phone signal may be intermittent at the venue, we encourage you to download your tickets to your device before heading to the venue. But please note that complimentary Wi-Fi will be available at the venue if required.

What do I do if my mobile device's battery runs out?

Make sure you come to the venue with your smartphone battery fully charged. You will not be able to show your tickets without battery.

If your phone’s battery has run out, please go to the on-site Ticket Office where they will be able to assist you.

Is re-admission in place at the AIG Women’s Open?
Yes, you will be able to leave the venue and return on the same day if you wish. When exiting the course, you must ensure you collect a wristband if you intend to re-enter later that day. If you are unable to display a valid wristband and your ticket on the AIGWO Tickets App, you will not be able to re-enter the venue.

What if I don't have a smartphone?

I have purchased tickets for the AIG Women’s Open, but don’t have access to a smartphone. What should I do?

For any spectator attending the AIG Women’s Open who does not have access to a smartphone, please come to the on-site Ticket Office to gain entry to the event.

The lead purchaser of the group must accompany you and provide the following:

1) Proof of purchase (e.g. a printed e-mail / printed file recap document)

If you had tickets purchased for you and the lead purchaser will not be in attendance to provide proof of purchase, please e-mail Tickets@AIGWomensOpen.com to discuss your entry process. 

2) A form of ID (e.g. driver’s license or bank card)

Please note that if you are required to come to the on-site Ticket Office, it may result in slower entry to the Championship at peak times.
