What are Hero Messages?

Hero Messages are a new fan experience at the AIG Women's Open. It gives fans around the world the chance to send personal messages of support to their favourite players - which will then be displayed on big screens across Royal Porthcawl during the championship. 

How do I submit a hero message?
Head to the Hero Message Portal, choose your player by country, pick photo or video, upload your message, and hit submit. You'll also get a 15% discount code for The R&A Shop after sending your message!
Is it free to submit a message?
Yes – submitting a message is completely free.
Why isn't my favourite player listed? 

Players are added to the Hero Message Portal as they officially enter the Championship. Check back soon.

What kind of message should I submit?
Keep it supportive, positive, and personal! Whether it’s a message of encouragement, admiration, or thanks – this is your chance to inspire your golf hero.
Will my message definitely be shown?
We’ll do our best to showcase as many messages as possible during the championship, but due to the volume of submissions, not every message is guaranteed to be displayed.
Where will messages be shown?

Messages will appear on the big screens throughout Royal Porthcawl during the AIG Women’s Open – reaching both players and spectators.

Can I submit more than one message?
Absolutely! Feel free to submit more than one message, whether to the same player or multiple players.
Is there a deadline to submit?
No, the Hero Message portal will be live throughout championship week until a new champion is crowned!
Can golf clubs or organisations get involved?
Definitely! Clubs and organisations are encouraged to submit their own group messages to their favourite players!
Can I see the Hero Wall if I'm not attending in person?
While the Hero Wall is displayed on-site at Royal Porthcawl, we’ll also be sharing highlights and selected messages across the AIG Women’s Open social channels – so keep an eye out online!
