Any hole-in-one is special, but how about achieving the feat with a cricket bat?

England cricketer Ollie Pope came close to doing just that at Walton Heath, sending his ball straight at the pin with an incredible shot you can watch in the video player below.

Ollie, a keen golfer who has a handicap of 4.5, was the guest in our first episode of ‘Dan Walker Meets …’, a three-part series filmed at this year’s AIG Women’s Open venue.

Ollie chatted to Dan about his love for golf, ranked his England team-mates’ prowess on the course and looked ahead to the upcoming Ashes series against Australia.

But the highlight of the England vice-captain’s round was undoubtedly his amazing shot on the 17th hole of Walton Heath’s Old Course, which almost resulted in a unique hole-in-one.
