Miyu Yamashita (pictured above) has opened up a three-shot advantage on day two of the AIG Women's Open with a magnificent seven-under 65, while Rio Takeda is the only player within six of the leader.
One off the pace overnight, Yamashita moved to the front early with birdies at the 1st and 2nd. She then hit top form later in the morning, picking up further shots at the 9th, 10th, 11th and 13th, before a closing birdie on 18 lifted her to 11-under for the Championship.
Playing partner Takeda - one of the two first-round leaders alongside Eri Okayama - is the only player remotely close to Yamashita. Takeda completed a three-under 69 on Friday to sit second on eight-under.
The players tied for third - Lindy Duncan, Pajaree Anannarukarn, Laura Fuenfstueck and Chiara Tamburlini - are seven shots off the pace at four-under.
There was a special moment at the 8th on Friday morning as Steph Kyriacou made a hole-in-one.
