A Lim Kim

Had never played a major championship prior to the 2020 U.S Open and was ranked 94th in the world at the time, but after entering the final round five strokes behind she birdied the last three holes for a 67 that set the clubhouse target of 281, three under par.

World No 1 Jin-young Ko and American Amy Olson finished one behind and overnight leader Hinako Shibuno slipped to fourth place two shots back.

She was the ninth Korean winner of the title in 13 years, but the only one to wear a mask while she played because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Missed the cut on her AIG Women’s Open debut in 2021.
