Twice a member of Europe’s Solheim Cup team and twice a winner on the Ladies European Tour.

All this after a brilliant amateur career in which she became Welsh girl champion, Welsh Amateur champion (twice), British stroke play champion (twice) and European champion.

She played in the 2000 Curtis Cup match at Ganton in Yorkshire and before turning professional very nearly had success when invited to play on the Ladies European Tour.

She was runner-up at the 2003 Tenerife Open and second again at the Wales WPGA Championship, where Shani Waugh’s winning putt on the final green was measured at 74 feet.

Three top ten finishes this season, including third at the South African Open, earned her a place at Muirfield from the LET’s current points standings.
