Clarisa Temelo qualified for the AIG Women’s Open after cruising to victory in the Women’s Amateur Latin America championship in Peru in November last year.

The Mexican teenager led after each round and finished on a winning tally of nine-under-par, six shots clear of runner-up Emily Odwin.

“The AIG Women’s Open is a dream and everyone wants to play in that one,” she said afterwards.
