Played the 2010 Junior Ryder Cup – a mixed competition - and the 2011 Junior Solheim Cup before becoming US Women’s Amateur Champion two years later. Added a Curtis Cup in 2014 and the following season while at the University of Alabama took individual honours at the NCAA championships, pipping Leona Maguire and Gaby Lopez by a single stroke.

By then she had already competed in all the majors except the Evian Championship and last year she just missed out on her first LPGA Tour crown, losing a play-off for the ISPS Handa World Invitational to Pajaree Anannarukarn. Competes at Muirfield after taking the last of 25 places offered on July 11 to non-exempt players based on their performances on this season’s LPGA Tour.
