Jessica Korda

Jessica Korda AIG Women

Was four years old when her father Petr won the Australian Open tennis title – sister Nelly had yet to be born – but it was at golf that she quickly grabbed attention, representing the Czech Republic at the Espirito Santo World Amateur Team Championships when only 13 and then returning to the event as part of the United States team four years later.

After turning professional she won the 2012 Australian Open in a six-person play-off just before her 19th birthday and has since won five more LPGA Tour titles. Nelly achieved her first major win last season, but the closest Jessica has come so far was this April when she was runner-up to Jennifer Kupcho at the Chevron Championship.

She also came second at the 2010 US Amateur – Danielle Kang beat her 2&1 in the final – and had success in both the Junior Solheim Cup and Curtis Cup.
