Johanna Gustavsson

Johanna Gustavsson played in the AIG Women’s Open in 2022 just three weeks after her husband Alex Wrigley played in The Open at St Andrews after coming through Regional and Final Qualifying events.

The 30-year-old Swede’s place at Muirfield came thanks to her performances on the Ladies European Tour, where she occupied third place on the Costa Del Sol order of merit for most of the year.

Gustavsson won a record-breaking 14-hole “sudden death” play-off on the LET Access Series in 2015.

The former amateur international has had runner-up finishes on the main circuit in Saudi Arabia, Australia and Thailand, plus three other top sixes and 16 top-10s.
