Represented Malaysia when golf was re-introduced to the Olympic Games in Brazil in 2016, having previously played for her country in the 2012 Espirito Santo World Amateur Team Championships in Turkey, where Lydia was leading individual and South Korea the team winners.

Earned an LPGA Tour card at the 2013 qualifying school and three years ago won on the Symetra Tour in Florida. This is her first appearance in the AIG Women’s Open since 2016 and she gained her spot as one of the leading 25 non-exempt players on the LPGA circuit this season.
