Maria Jose Marin qualified for the 2026 AIG Women’s Open by winning the Women’s Amateur Latin America Championship in Mexico in November 2025.

The Colombian surrendered a four-stroke lead over the last four holes of regulation play before holding her nerve to triumph at the third extra hole over Emily Odwin.

It proved to be third time lucky for Maria following runner-up finishes in the event 2021 and 2022.
