Minami Katsu

Minami Katsu was a mere 15-years-old when she became the youngest-ever winner on the LPGA Tour of Japan, capturing the KKT Cup Vantelin Open after getting up and down from a bunker on the final hole to win by one stroke in 2014.

She was a first-year student at Kagoshima High School at the time and later that year helped Japan tie for eighth place in the Espirito Santo World Amateur Team Championship won by an Australian team which included Minjee Lee.

Katsu became Japan amateur champion the following season and has added seven more victories on her home circuit since turning professional, including the Japan Women’s Open Golf Championship in October 2022, defeating two-time AIG Women's Open champion Jiyai Shin by a single shot.

Katsu earned her LPGA Tour card for the 2023 season via Q-School.
