Minji Kang has enjoyed a solid year so far on the major circuit after she recorded T19 and T24 finishes at the US Women’s Open and Women’s PGA Championship respectively.
The 26-year-old claimed her best-ever finish on the LPGA Tour in June when she placed T5 at the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give and also finished T9 at the Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba in April.
Kang has also played on the Epson Tour in recent seasons and it was on that Tour that she twice came close to registering a first professional win – finishing T2 at the Hartford HealthCare Women's Championship in 2023 and second at the IOA Golf Classic presented by Aperture last year.
From South Korea, Kang played collegiate golf at Truett McConnell University where she won the 2022 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Women’s Golf National Championship.
She also won the 2022 Georgia Women’s Amateur Championship.
