Ruoning Yin finished tied-second (T2) on her second AIG Women's Open start, at St Andrews in 2024.
'Ronni' led for much of the opening round, battling the Old Course's gusty crosswinds brilliantly and stayed in contention until the final day, finishing just two shots behind Champion Lydia Ko.
She became only the second major champion from China when she triumphed in the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in 2023. In a thrilling finish at Baltusrol, Ronni birdied the final hole to edge out Yuka Saso by one.
The victory lifted her to fifth in the Rolex Rankings and she moved a place higher after tying for 20th in the US Women’s Open on her next start, while she moved into first place in September 2023.
Ronni won the Dow Championship alongside Jeeno Thitikul in June 2024 before claiming two more victories that October.
She has been a model of consistency in majors in 2025, finishing T2 in the Chevron Championship and T4 in the US Women's Open.
