Ruoning Yin

Ruoning Yin finished tied-second on her second AIG Women's open start at St Andrews in 2024.

Yin led for much of the opening round, battling the Old Course's gusty crosswinds brilliantly and stayed in contention until the final day, finishing just two shots behind Champion Lydia Ko.

Yin became only the second major champion from China when she triumphed in the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in 2023.

In a thrilling finish at Baltusrol, Yin birdied the final hole to edge out Yuka Saso by one.

The victory lifted Yin to fifth in the Rolex Rankings and she moved a place higher after tying for 20th in the US Women’s Open on her next start, while she moved into first place in September 2023.

Yin won the Dow Championship alongside Jeeno Thitikul in June 2024.
