Sei Young Kim set an LPGA Tour record in 2018 when she took the Thornberry Creek Classic with a 31-under-par total of 257 – she won by nine strokes – and lifted her first major trophy with a five-shot success over Inbee Park at the Women's PGA Championship in 2020.
That was the 11th of her 13 victories on the American circuit, while she was one of four runners-up to Angela Stanford at the 2018 Evian Championship in France and then tied for fourth behind Georgia Hall in the AIG Women’s Open at Royal Lytham and St Annes the same year.
Sei Young, the 2015 LPGA Rookie of the Year, ended her five-year wait for an LPGA Tour title when she triumphed in the BMW Ladies Championship – leading after all four rounds – in Korea in October 2025.
