Shannon Tan made history by becoming the first Singaporean to win on the Ladies European Tour (LET) when she triumphed in the Magical Kenya Ladies Open in February 2024.
Then 19, it was Shannon’s first pro start on the Tour after she qualified at Q-School two months earlier.
“I hope that [my win] inspires the junior golfers in Singapore,” said Tan.
“I want to see golf grow in Singapore because I am from there and it would be great to see the sport you love grow bigger and bigger.”
Shannon made her major debut in the Amundi Evian Championship in July 2024 before making further history by becoming Singapore’s first Olympic golfer in Paris a few weeks later.
Shannon was one of the stars of the LET in 2025, winning the Amundi German Masters and the Hero Women’s Indian Open en route to claiming the Order of Merit.
