A rising star of Korean golf, Shinsil Bang won twice during her rookie season on the KLPGA Tour in 2023 and repeated that feat in 2025, with victories at the Nexen SaintNine Masters and High1 Resort Ladies Open.

The second of those triumphs lifted the 20-year-old to a career-best position of 55th in the Rolex Rankings.

She made her AIG Women’s Open debut at Royal Porthcawl a few weeks on from finishing T23 at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. She also made the cut as a teenager on her maiden major appearance, at the 2024 Chevron Championship.

Shinsil’s impressive amateur career featured an eighth-place finish at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur in 2022, the year after she came 25th in the Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific.
