Yunseo Yang qualified for
Royal Lytham & St Annes by becoming the first Korean winner of the Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific (WAAP) Championship in February.
The 18-year-old finished on a record 16-under-par for the week, eight strokes clear of compatriot Soomin Oh, and became the only outright wire-to-wire winner of the Championship.
This landmark victory ensured Yunseo’s place in the 2026 AIG Women’s Open – as well as the Chevron Championship in April and the Amundi Evian Championship in July.
“I'm very honoured to have this opportunity,” she said.
