In 2021, the AIG Women's Open returned to Carnoustie for the 45th playing of the championship.

Ten years on from first hosting the AIG Women's Open in 2011, Carnoustie opened its doors to the best players in the world between August 19-22.

The famous Angus links became the fifth links course in history to host the event multiple times.
