Nelly Korda and Haeran Ryu have shared the year’s four major titles between them, and they will compete alongside 2024 AIG Women’s Open Champion Lydia Ko in one of the marquee groups for rounds one and two at Royal Lytham & St Annes.

The trio will tee off at 8.42am in round one, with exclusive early window coverage available for fans to watch between 9am and 1pm.

Korda, the world’s top-ranked player, claimed The Chevron Championship in April before following this up with victory at the US Women’s Open in June.

Ryu halted Korda’s major-winning run at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and then doubled her major tally at The Amundi Evian Championship.

Joining them will be Ko, who claimed the AIG Women’s Open with a sensational showing in St Andrews two years ago.

The first marquee group of the morning will see Lottie Woad, Akie Iwai and Andrea Lee tee off at 8.31am, with all the action also available through televised early window coverage.

The year Ko was victorious, Woad claimed the Smyth Salver for low amateur on her Championship debut at the home of golf. She followed this up with a T8 result at Royal Porthcawl last year just weeks after turning professional.

Lee has also impressed in her AIG Women’s Open performances to date, with two top ten finishes – T7 in 2020 and T9 in 2023. Iwai finished T7 two years ago.

Defending Champion Miyu Yamashita will tee off with Jeeno Thitikul, who claimed the Smyth Salver at Royal Lytham and St Annes eight years ago, and Lauren Coughlin at 1.15pm on Thursday.

Their second round, starting at 8.31am, will be available in Friday’s early window coverage from 9am to 1pm.

A star-studded Thursday afternoon continues with Charley Hull, Hannah Green and Brooke Henderson out at 1.26pm.

Hull will be aiming to go one better, having come so close to claiming her maiden major when she finished T2 at Royal Porthcawl 12 months ago. Hull, Green and Henderson’s second round – starting at 8.42am on Friday – will also be available to watch in exclusive early window coverage.

Other eye-catching groups include major winners Hyo Joo Kim, Minjee Lee and Mao Saigo out at 8.20am on Thursday, and Ruoning Yin, Nasa Hataoka and Jennifer Kupcho, who get their opening rounds under way at 1.04pm.

Georgia Hall – the 2018 AIG Women’s Open Champion at Royal Lytham and St Annes – is playing with fellow AIG WO Champion Hinako Shibuno and 2026 Women’s Amateur Champion Valentine Delon at 12.42pm.

Meanwhile, the world’s top-ranked amateur Kiara Romero is among the earlier starters on Friday, teeing it up with Sweden’s Linn Grant and Jinyoung Ko at 7.58am.
