Andrea Lee has been a consistent performer at the AIG Women’s Open – only once finishing outside the top 25.
At Royal Porthcawl in 2025 she played herself into contention on Saturday with a stunning run of seven birdies in nine holes, moving into second place and two shots off the lead.
She was T4 after the first round at St Andrews in 2024 before going to finish T22.
Andrea, who is renowned for her ability on the greens, finished T9 in 2023, her second top-10 in the Championship following her T7 placing in 2020.
And with top-30 finishes at the Chevron Championship, US Women’s Open and KPMG Women’s PGA Championship preceding a T5 at the recent Evian Championship, Andrea is enjoying a strong campaign in 2025.
She ended her amateur career in 2019 as the world’s top-ranked player, having played in two Curtis Cups, two Junior Solheim Cups and a Junior Ryder Cup.
Andrea won for the first time on the LPGA Tour at the Portland Classic in 2022, beating Daniela Darquea by one shot.
She first made a name for herself when she qualified for the US Women's Open as a 15-year-old in 2014 – and survived the halfway cut.
Andrea attended Stanford University, just like Michelle Wie and Tiger Woods.
