Carmen Alonso

Carmen Alonso picked up her maiden title on the Ladies European Tour [LET] when she edged Johanna Gustavsson in the Finnish Open in July 2023.

The Spaniard played on winning teams at the Junior Ryder Cup in 1999 and 2002 and also represented Europe at the 2002 Junior Solheim Cup.

She was a runner-up in the Girls' Amateur Championship and a semi-finalist at the Women’s Amateur, then after turning professional came second at the 2008 Italian Open.

Her first victory in the paid ranks, however, did not arrive until the LET Access Series in Czech Republic in 2018.

Alonso was one of the final three qualifiers for the AIG Women’s Open in 2022.
