Hye-Jin Choi has enjoyed a tremendous year in majors in 2025.
The 25-year-old finished in the top 10 in the Chevron Championship (T9), US Women's Open (T4) and the KPMG Women's PGA Championship (T8) before a T14 placing in the Amundi Evian Championship.
Hye-Jin has appeared in five previous AIG Women's Opens, with her best finish being T28 at Muirfield in 2022.
She was the star of South Korea’s winning team at the World Girls' Championship in 2015, taking the individual title by seven strokes, and backed that up by finishing joint runner-up behind Lydia Ko at the New Zealand Open the following year.
Hye-Jin then tied for fifth in the ANZ Masters, having qualified with a round of 62, and was the leading individual again at the Espirito Santo World Amateur Team Championship in Mexico, which saw the Koreans take the trophy by an incredible 21 strokes.
Having also become the low amateur at the 2016 US Women's Open she returned to the event the following summer and, trying at 17 to become the youngest-ever winner and only the second amateur, she was runner-up to compatriot Sung-hyun Park.
Hye-Jin won twice on the Korean LPGA Tour before turning professional and now boasts 12 wins on the circuit.
