Julia Lopez Ramirez

Lopez Ramirez won the biggest title of her career to date in July 2023, overhauling the then number one on the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), Ingrid Lindblad, to win the European Ladies Amateur Championship.

Lindblad led with a round to play at Tegelberga Golfklubb in Sweden, but it was Mississippi State student Lopez Ramirez who prevailed by two shots from fellow Spaniard Carla Bernat.

This win subsequently earned Lopez Ramirez the right to play in the AIG Women’s Open - where she made the cut - and she will return to the Championship this year as the number-two ranked amateur in the world, having enjoyed a spell at number one.
