Julia Lopez Ramirez

Lopez Ramirez won the biggest title of her career to date at the end of July, overhauling the number one on the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), Ingrid Lindblad, to win the European Ladies Amateur Championship.

Lindblad led with a round to play at Tegelberga Golfklubb in Sweden, but it was Mississippi State student Lopez Ramirez who prevailed by two shots from fellow Spaniard Carla Bernat.

Lopez Ramirez now gets the chance to play in the AIG Women’s Open as a result of her victory, which moved her up to sixth in the WAGR.
