Leonie Harm represented Europe in the 2015 Junior Solheim Cup just two years after being in a coma and suffering multiple injuries when hit by a drunk driver while out jogging.
Her family were told there was little chance of her surviving, yet three years later she became the first German to capture The Women’s Amateur Championship, beating American Stephanie Lau 3&2 in the final at Hillside.
Leonie tied for seventh in the 2021 AIG Women’s Open at Carnoustie with her closing 67 being one of the rounds of the day.
She qualified for the 2026 Championship at Royal Lytham & St Annes by winning the German Masters – her maiden LET title – in April.
Leonie studied biochemistry at the University of Houston before turning professional in 2020.
