Paula Martin Sampedro qualified for the AIG Women’s Open at Royal Porthcawl by winning The Women’s Amateur Championship in June.
The 19-year-old from Madrid defeated American Farah O'Keefe 2&1 in the 36-hole match play final at Nairn in Scotland.
In doing so Paula joined the likes of Carlota Ciganda as the sixth Spanish Women’s Amateur Champion.
This victory allowed Paula to climb five places to seventh in the World Amateur Golf Ranking.
In her first season at Stanford University, she earned 2024 First Team All-America honours with nine top-seven finishes and helped her team win the NCAA Division.
