In the second of those she was only one behind after the first and second rounds but after slipping back with a Saturday 71, a fine closing 65 left her seven adrift of Kim Sei-young, who finished with a 63.
Won twice on the LPGA Tour in 2016 and either side of those victories has had five successes on the Ladies European Tour, most recently last November in her native Spain. She has been a member of the last five Solheim Cup teams, going undefeated on her debut in the 2013 win and helping Europe lift the trophy again on the last two occasions.
