Chien recorded the best major finish of her career at the recent Evian Championship when she tied for 7th.

That result helped the three-time winner on the Symetra Tour to book her place at St Andrews, as one of the top 25 players, not already exempt, on the LPGA Race to CME Globe Points List on 22 July.
