Sarah Schmelzel

Had the best finish of her LPGA Tour career so far when she came joint third at last February's Drive on Championship. That was the event in Florida where Ireland’s Leona Maguire pushed Lexi Thompson into second place by three shots, but Schmeizel was only one stroke further back on 14-under-par after a closing 64 that included six birdies in her last seven holes.

The former University of South Carolina student turned professional six years ago and in 2018 had seven top-10 finishes on the Epson Tour and then was third at the LPGA Qualifying School.
