A five-time winner on the China LPGA Tour, Weiwei Zhang finished T49 at the AIG Women's Open at St Andrews in 2024.

The 29-year-old now heads to Royal Lytham & St Annes for her third AIG Women’s Open appearance having also featured in the field at Royal Porthcawl in 2025.

Her best result in a major was T13 at the 2024 Chevron Championship, and she followed that up a year later with a T14 finish.

Weiwei recorded her best finish on the LPGA Tour when she was runner-up to Mi Hyang Lee at the Blue Bay LPGA in March 2026.

Overall, Weiwei has six professional wins to her name, with four of them coming in 2019.
