Seven times a winner on the China LPGA Tour and came close to her first LPGA Tour success in the Honda Thailand tournament last March. Tied with Nanna Koerstz Madsen on 26 under par – a record for the event – before Madsen eagled the second hole of their sudden death play-off.

A remarkably consistent performer, Lin has added three more runner-up finishes on the tour since then, while she was joint third at the 2023 KPMG Women's PGA Championship.

She has also had success on the Ladies European Tour, winning the co-sanctioned Sanya Open on home soil by five strokes over Charley Hull in 2014 and successfully defending the title by two over compatriot Jing Yan a year later.
