Yan Liu recorded her first top-10 finish at a major when placing T9 at the 2025 Chevron Championship.
She then followed that up this year with a T4 finish at the same major, ending on 12-under-par after a final-round 67, the lowest final round of anyone in the top 10.
Yan joined the LPGA Tour in 2023, having recorded four top-10 finishes on the Epson Tour in 2022, during which she won the Four Winds Invitational.
Yan made an albatross at the 2025 Chevron Championship which gave her an early lead at the event.
She previously played on the Ladies European Tour after turning professional at the age of 19, but then returned to China and claimed her first title in 2019 at the EFG Hong Kong Ladies Open.
Her best finish in the AIG Women's Open came at Royal Porthcawl in 2025 when she was T19.
