Lydia Hall

Lydia Hall

Daughter of a former Welsh rugby international Wayne, Lydia Hall twice represented her country in the European Amateur Team Championships prior to turning professional in 2007.

She then won the ISPS Handa British Masters on the Ladies European Tour in 2012, beating American Beth Allen by one at the Buckinghamshire Club. She also won the World Sand Greens Championship on the WPGA Tour of Australasia, in 2024.

Lydia missed most of the 2015 season to recover from surgery, but climbed to 15th on the Order of Merit to guarantee herself a place at Muirfield in 2022.

She made it back into the AIG Women's Open three years later when she came through Final Qualifying at Pyle & Kenfig to secure her place at Royal Porthcawl, where she is a former Club champion.
