Bridgend Golf – situated on Golden Mile Drive – boasts a splendid 9-hole golf course as well as a floodlit driving range; perfect for a low handicapper or a complete newbie.

Coney Surf

Links golf courses are the link between sea and land – so why not take advantage of being in a coastal town by taking a surfing lesson? Individuals and groups are catered for.

But if you’re not quite up for donning a wetsuit, why not browse the surf shop for a gift or two?

Porthcawl Cycle Route

Running from Trecco Bay to Rest Bay, the 4km Porthcawl Cycle Route is a wonderful way to explore what the town has to offer. Bikes are available for hire at the Watersports Centre in Rest Bay.

Walks

If cycling isn’t your thing then why not explore Porthcawl on foot by embarking on any one of these trails:

Meanwhile, Coney beach itself is a mile long and has become a magnet for surfers and sunbathers alike.

Open 7 days a week, Crafts by the Sea is a shop in Ogmore by Sea on the Heritage Coast, and is run by local artists with a passion for art, craft and recycling.
