Welsh golfer Darcey Harry will be the talk of the town when she tees it up in the AIG Women’s Open in July.
The 22-year-old won the Hulencourt Women’s Open in Belgium on Sunday to qualify for the final major of the year, which is being staged at Darcey’s home club, Royal Porthcawl.
“I was thinking that walking down the 18th,” she said, “and I was pretty nervous about not getting into that, so I think that’s another huge win for me this week.”

It was Darcey’s first victory on the Ladies European Tour [LET], coming in just the ninth event of her rookie season.
She finished the tournament on 13-under-par, three shots clear of runner-up Nastasia Nadaud.
“I’m so excited,” said Darcey, who hails from Dinas Powys, just outside Cardiff.
“I didn’t think I’d ever picture myself winning on the LET, so it’s so nice to know I’ve finally done it.
“I think the last putt was probably the most nervous I’ve ever been in my life.”
The AIG Women’s Open will take place between 30 July and 3 August.
